Job summary

Role:

Responsible for monitoring employee GMP compliance and product quality specification compliance of the raw materials, intermediate products and finished products. This position involves 90% on‑floor inspection and 10% reporting.

Schedule: Night Shift – 11:30 pm – 8:00 am

Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily monitoring and verification tasks as outlined in the HACCP program and recommend corrective actions for deviations
  • Responsible for Pre‑Operational inspections, perform equipment sanitation verification and maintain environmental sanitation records
  • Monitor and identify any product, processes or equipment that are not within acceptable tolerances and respond with immediate corrective action
  • Monitoring inbound and outbound product quality
  • Assist in facility (interior and exterior) GMP inspections
  • Verifies label compliance and packaging tare weights
  • Monitor CCPs and record results
  • Initiate and enforce ingredient, packaging or product QC Holds when needed
  • Monitors temperature and chemical concentration of sanitation systems
  • Maintain ongoing company compliance with all applicable regulations and third‑party audit requirements
  • Participate in preparation for Third Party and Internal audits
  • Provide support and coaching to employees and production management to maintain and improve facility QA practices and procedures
  • Perform data entry and data analysis tasks
  • Help in collecting samples for shelf life and other special projects.
  • Help in collecting data and reporting.
  • Participate in projects and meetings with the goal of improving food safety and food quality
  • Assist in the implementation of changes that advance QA systems and/or programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
Requirements:
  • Possession of High School Diploma, experience in similar quality control roles are preferred
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Good understanding of QA systems
  • Basic knowledge in HACCP, SFCR and GFSI
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy and a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, keen and quick learner
  • Experience in a food processing facility is an asset
  • Possess positive attitude and professional approach with the willingness to learn and improve
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team and get things done with minimal supervision
