Professional Driver with Class 1A Licence - Rural Routes (LCV an asset).

Position Summary:
CWS Logistics needs a Professional Driver looking for a lifestyle that is hard to come by in the trucking industry.

Job Description:

1. Delivery of agriculture products, to rural retail locations.
2. Physically fit.
3. Driver assisted off-loads (pallet jack 1000 kgs to back of the trailer).
4. Occasionally handling 50 lb bags of seed.
5. Days; Monday – Friday, with the occasional Saturday from April to June.

Job Requirements:

1. No existing allergy to agriculture chemicals or pesticides.
2. Clean Driver’s Abstract and qualify to be added to the CWS Logistics insurance policy without an additional surcharge.
3. Must provide a pre-employment “Police Criminal Record Check”, current within 30 days.
4. Must be able to read, write, and speak basic English and do basic math calculations.
5. Proven work experience as a truck driver with a Valid Class 1A license.
6. Working knowledge of Apple smartphones and IOS.
7. Ability to do minor truck repairs, crawl, bend, and kneel to inspect under trucks and trailers.
8. Ability to drive long hours, keeping within regulated hours of service legislation.
9. Must be able to use ELD (Electronic Logging Device) and Paper Logbook.
10. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
11. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
12. Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
13. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pallet jack 1500 kg pallets of product from the nose of the trailer to the doors.
14. Ability to climb trailers, stairs, ladders, and tractors; crank dolly legs and carry dolly pads.
15. TDG certification obtained.
16. English is spoken and written.

Additional Pay:

1. OT Hours.
2. $7500 bonus at end of Contract. (If contract employee)
3. Potential for significant bonus pay. (inquire at interview)
