Our long-time client is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Junior Accountant to join their team on a part-time basis.

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, strong technical skills, and the ability to navigate multiple software platforms with ease. A keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset are essential for success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue invoices, process payments, and manage customer accounts.
• Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies or payment issues.
• Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries and account statuses.
• Generate and analyze AR aging and other financial reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve customer account issues.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within AR functions.

Education:

• Post-secondary education in a relevant industry is considered an asset.

Experience:

• 2+ years experience in an accounting (or similar) role is required.

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Multitasking and ability to prioritize numerous tasks.
• Conflict resolution and customer service.
• Self-directed and confident.

Base Salary: $22 – 25 per hour

Work Hours: 20-25 hours per week

Remote Work: This position is not remote and requires on-site presence.
