Qualifications

• High School graduation plus two to three years in Architectural or Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Over two to four years of experience conducting application compliance reviews related to planning.
• Strong knowledge of zoning by-laws and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Review building permit applications for compliance with zoning by-laws.
• Train and provide direction to contract staff and students.
• Prepare zoning reports and attend meetings/hearings as required.
• Respond to inquiries regarding land use and by-law interpretations.
• Maintain up-to-date zoning by-law information and provide guidance to builders/contractors.
