Zone Manager, Insurance

The Zone Manager, Insurance will provide leadership to Insurance Department Managers in developing, communicating, and implementing a sales-driven vision, using strategy and key performance indicators. This position will oversee select stores to ensure they are compliant with all company policies and procedures, the Insurance Council, Loss Prevention, and Human Resources.

Additional responsibilities include:
  1. Align with and support the Company’s strategic directions and priorities while providing solutions that address complex or emerging issues.
  2. Manage the Insurance Department Manager team effectively to ensure objectives are met.
  3. Predict risks that impact the business.
  4. Maintain the “Above and beyond the expected” by monitoring all Insurance Department standards.
  5. Ensure ongoing manpower requirements are identified to allow for future company growth.
  6. Ensure the continued development of Insurance Department Managers.
  7. Ensure all financial benchmarks are reviewed and stores meet or exceed those objectives.
  8. Ensure innovation and new methods are explored to reduce operational expenses.
  9. Maintain an awareness of potential new locations.
  10. Regularly communicate viable locations and business opportunities to the Insurance Services, Customer Experience Manager.
  11. Work in harmony with the various Business Unit Managers to achieve corporate financial goals and benchmarks.
The successful candidate will have the following:
  1. CIP/CAIB or Level III insurance license.
  2. Minimum 5 Years experience in insurance; minimum 2 years’ experience in a senior management role.
  3. Strong working knowledge of all aspects of insurance department operations.
  4. Experience managing office operations and best practices.
  5. Proficient with Word and Excel.
  6. Ability to use all relevant software related to the Insurance Industry.
  7. Experience in insurance sales and brokerage operations.
  8. Effective interpersonal and analytical skills.
  9. Will take necessary management and technical training as required.
  10. In-depth knowledge of insurance products, including Personal Lines and related product offerings, services, and regulations.
