Role Overview

As a Senior Manager, Insurance Operations & Compliance, you will provide strategic oversight and leadership to support Holdco’s vision of operational and compliance excellence. You will work closely with key stakeholders, including Insurance Senior Management and Regional Managers, to ensure alignment with strategic goals and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations & Compliance: Liaise with senior management to address audit gaps and ensure compliance; oversee regulation updates, license renewals, and manage organizational policies for regulatory compliance; act as Nominee for Holdco subsidiaries.
  • Leadership: Foster a collaborative, innovative work environment; develop workforce strategies for performance management and talent retention; communicate operational goals and decisions.
  • Administration & Reporting: Ensure compliance adherence; report audit and compliance results; maintain ongoing regulatory reporting for agencies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related discipline.
  • Eligible for Level 3 General Insurance License; CAIB (minimum 5 years) or CIP designation.
  • 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
Preferred Skills
  • Solutions-oriented leadership; ability to overcome obstacles.
  • Deep knowledge of personal and business insurance policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Understanding of the financial marketplace and provincial regulations.
  • Technical proficiency with insurance systems like EPIC, EZ ITV, Applied Rater, ICBC Software; minimum 10 years’ experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $92,700 - $137,579 annually. Compensation is tailored based on experience and responsibilities. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including an 11.50% employer-paid RRSP contribution, work/life balance initiatives, educational support, banking perks, and more.
