Good Shepherd Centres Hamilton, a ministry of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God, is hiring for Youth Services Brennan House.

This role focuses on assessment, crisis prevention, counselling, life skills teaching and linkage with community services for youth aged 15-18 with complex mental health issues. You'll work to support clients, participate in health and safety programs, and uphold the mission values of availability, flexibility, hospitality and dignity.

Competenze

• Post-secondary degree/diploma in social work or youth services.
• Experience with transitional-aged youth and homelessness and substance use.
• Residential treatment experience per ministry guidelines is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with initiative and creativity.
• Fluency in French or another language is an asset.
• CPR certification or willingness to be certified.
• Good judgement, problem-solving and assessment skills.
• Commitment to anti-racist/anti-oppressive practice and Good Shepherd values.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety laws.
