Job summary

Guelph Soccer Club in Guelph, ON seeks a dedicated Coach Development Manager to lead coach education across all programs. This full-time, hybrid role balances on-field work with remote planning and supports youth staff, families, and communities.

You will design pathways, organize clinics, mentor coaches, and ensure alignment with club philosophies and national standards. A focus on inclusion and safeguarding is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring, training, and supporting youth soccer coaches in a club or community setting.
• Strong program planning and organizational skills to design coach development pathways, schedule clinics, and manage multiple initiatives.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with coaches, staff, players, and caregivers and to deliver clear instruction and feedback.
• Knowledge of youth soccer development principles, Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) models, and current coaching best practices.
• Commitment to inclusion, safety, and safeguarding, including creating respectful environments for participants of all backgrounds and abilities.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-field presence in Guelph, ON with remote administrative and planning tasks.
• Relevant coaching certifications and prior experience in a technical or coaching coordinator role are strong assets.
• Proficiency with common office software and digital tools for scheduling, communication, and tracking coach development activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement coach development pathways for all club programs.
• Organize clinics and workshops for coach education and development.
• Mentor and support coaches, providing constructive feedback and resources.
• Assess coach performance and progress against program objectives.
• Maintain coaching resources and curriculum aligned with club philosophies and national standards.
