Job summary

Community Sports Partners is seeking an energetic Soccer Development Officer to lead coaching, session oversight, coach training, and program development for youth players in the GTA.

The ideal candidate will run engaging sessions for ages 18 months to 13 years, mentor part-time and seasonal coaches, and collaborate with management to ensure high-quality programming. Evening and weekend availability is required and compensation is CAD 24–27 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Experience coaching youth ages 18 months to 13 years.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising other coaches or staff.
  • Strong communicator with parents and team members.
  • Able to design and adapt sessions by age and skill level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging soccer sessions for children aged 18 months to 13 years.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of part-time and seasonal coaches.
  • Oversee session setup, events, and daily programming.
  • Provide on-field and off-field training to coaching staff.
  • Act as liaison between coaches and management.
  • Communicate with management to support operations and coach development.

Job description

We are one of the largest and fastest-growing private youth sports organizations in the GTA. We create fun, engaging experiences that create lasting memories for the families in our communities! We're looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Soccer Development Officer to to take a lead role in coaching, session oversight, coach training, and program development. The ideal candidate is an experienced coach who is equally comfortable running engaging youth sessions, mentoring new coaches, and collaborating with our management team to ensure high-quality programming. You'll play a key role in shaping both the coach and player experience, ensuring our programs remain organized, fun, and impactful.

  • Passionate about working with and engaging young children is a must.
  • Availability on weekday evenings (between 4pm - 8pm) and/or weekends (between 9am - 12pm on Saturday/ Sunday).
  • Reliable and professional. Organized, and proactive in problem-solving
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and/or supervising other coaches or staff
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality who enjoys working with children, parents, and co-workers.
  • Lead engaging soccer sessions for children aged 18 months to 13 years, tailored to age and skill level
  • Supervise and mentor a team of part-time and seasonal coaches to ensure program quality and safety
  • Oversee session setup, event operations, and daily programming
  • Provide on-field and off-field training to coaching staff
  • Act as the primary liaison between front-line coaches and the management team
  • Communicate regularly with management to support operational needs and coach development
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with children and deliver feedback to parents.
  • Available to work through Summer and Winter seasons.
Ideal Experience:
  • Experience working with children ages 2 – 12 years old
  • Preference for experienced soccer coaches who are able to work with both Toddler and Youth ages
  • Experience with other types of young child sports organizations (SportBall, City Camps, Pedalheads, etc.) or soccer environments (Little Kickers, Timbits Soccer, House Leagues, etc.)
  • Coaching certification (Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, etc.) is an asset

Compensation: $24 - 27 p/h
