Youth Futures / Avenir Jeunesse in Ottawa seeks Peer Mentors to empower high school students through leadership, mentorship, and post-secondary orientation. Part-time hours (approx. 15/week) Jan–May, then full-time (35/week) May–Aug, with 10 mentor positions in two-youth groups. Bus passes and flexible scheduling support program delivery.

Mentors report to the Mentorship Coordinator and collaborate with City staff and partners to meet program objectives and develop youth potential.

Qualifications

• Must be currently attending a post-secondary school.
• First Aid and CPR training an asset.
• Bilingualism in French and English is an asset for some roles.

Responsabilités

• Manage youth progress by maintaining records and communicating via SharePoint, Outlook, Planner, Word, Excel, and Mentorcity.
• Ensure youth have and complete required documents for program completion.
• Design presentations and reports to aid in youth employment selections.
• Schedule and lead meetings with individual youths or mentor groups and partners.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment and provide group and one-on-one mentorship.
