Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in youth facilitation or related field.
• Experience facilitating workshops or activities with youth.
• Experience using interactive approaches to engage youth.
• Experience mentoring or supporting youth in leadership or career development.
• Ability to facilitate both in-person and online programming.
• Experience creating workshop content and learning materials.
• Experience with attendance tracking and program documentation.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Co-facilitate interactive workshops and activities for newcomer youth.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive environment for youth to participate.
• Support youth in leadership, life skills, and civic engagement.
• Provide mentorship and guidance for personal, educational, and professional development.
• Adapt activities to diverse learning styles and participant needs.
• Support in-person, online, and hybrid programming including Zoom sessions.
• Plan and deliver community projects and youth-focused activities.
• Supervise youth during volunteer placements and events in Edmonton.
• Gather youth feedback and help improve program activities and content.
• Maintain attendance, participant information, and program documentation.
• Create engaging presentations and workshop materials using Canva and PowerPoint.
• Coordinate with community partners, volunteers, guest speakers, and stakeholders.
