Job summary

Sources Community Resources Society in British Columbia seeks a Casual Youth Justice/Youth Development Outreach Worker to join our Youth Services team. The position is outreach-based, primarily serving South Surrey and White Rock with possible broader Surrey area.

Responsibilities include monitoring youth in the justice system, preparing reports for MCFD Youth Probation Officers, coordinating weekly schedules, and connecting youth with pro-social activities while fostering emotion regulation.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in child/youth care, criminology, youth justice, psychology or related field is mandatory.
  • Criminal Records check required (MPSG) and driving eligibility with Class 5 BC license.
  • Experience with youth in probation or justice system is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and monitoring for youth involved in the justice system.
  • Prepare written reports for MCFD Youth Probation Officers.
  • Coordinate weekly schedules and manage caseloads.
  • Deliver outreach services in South Surrey/White Rock with possible broader Surrey area.
