Job summary

Ccs4u is seeking a Youth Employment Specialist for its LIFE for Youth Program. You will facilitate Employment Skills training, coach participants, and support employment placements for youths facing barriers. The role involves creating workshop schedules, tracking progress, and coordinating with employers to secure external work placements.

You will travel to off-site locations, maintain participant files, and provide weekly coaching sessions to ensure successful outcomes for youth up to age 30.

Qualifications

• 2-year College Diploma in a relevant field such as social services, human services, child and youth work, etc
• Minimum 2 years experience supporting, facilitating, coaching, job placements & mentoring groups and individuals, particularly youth (18-30)
• Experience working with diverse groups and community outreach
• Proficiency with computers and digital platforms (Microsoft Office 365, Google, Zoom, Teams)

Responsibilities

• Meet with participants to review goals and develop self-development plans
• Provide coaching and informal counseling to support employment
• Facilitate life and employability workshops
• Create schedules for participant workshops and work placements
• Provide weekly coaching sessions to all participants
• Maintain confidential participant files
• Build relationships with employers and community partners for placements
• Travel to off-site assignments as needed
• Represent the program in meetings and within the agency
