Douglas College is seeking a Career Coach (Youth) for the Cloverdale WorkBC Centre. You will work with youth seeking employment, support daily center operations, and provide tailored career guidance to help clients overcome barriers.

The role emphasizes data entry, progress documentation, and collaboration with teams, while offering a hybrid work setup and strong benefits. Must be able to travel within the catchment and work flexible hours.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training, or career consulting.
• Experience with employment counseling and youth programs.
• Familiarity with MS Office, databases, and internet research.
• Willingness to travel within the catchment and to work flexible hours.

Aufgaben

• Conduct needs assessments to identify strengths and barriers.
• Determine eligibility for financial supports and services.
• Tailor services to individual client needs.
• Assist clients with individualized action plans and progress tracking using the Ministry approved database.
• Provide coaching toward employment or further education and monitor progress.
• Refer clients to community supports as needed.
• Represent the Centre in career fairs and community events.
• Maintain accurate records and report on performance targets.
