Job summary

UBC Camps | Athletics and Recreation is seeking a Camps Coordinator to maintain day-to-day operations of camp programming and administration. You will plan, implement and evaluate youth camp programs, supervise staff, and ensure safe, customer-focused delivery on campus and off-campus.

The role involves program development, budgeting, recruitment, training, and coordination with multiple departments within UBC Athletics and Recreation. This is a leave replacement position based in BC, Canada.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Equity, diversity and inclusion awareness and commitment.

Responsibilities

• Leads on program preparation including camp programs, schedules, descriptions, facility bookings, external bookings, purchases, transportation and staffing schedules; handles marketing materials and registration.
• Leads on program delivery including monitoring registration and waitlists, processing refunds, responding to inquiries, coordinating with coaches and departments, and managing sign-in/out processes.
• Assists or leads program delivery as necessary.
• Oversees pre-camp communication including confirmation emails and notices of cancellation/refund.
• Explores new opportunities and develops proposals for new programming under guidance.
• Develops and implements course evaluations and monitors participation and trends; provides annual recommendations.
