Scope of Position:

The Yard Worker is responsible for servicing and maintaining PERI products and equipment to ensure optimal operation. This includes repairing and maintaining components using hand/power tools and performing quality control on all returning materials.

Responsibilities:

1. Counting and servicing parts to quality, productivity, and rental standards
2. Differentiating parts by colours, shapes, and sizes
3. Handling large and small formwork and scaffolding components
4. Removing, repairing, and replacing components with hand and power tools (including hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, drills, saws, grinders, rivet guns)
5. Logging service work records accurately
6. Participating in cycle counts and inventory processes
7. Maintaining punctuality and excellent attendance
8. Participating in health and safety meetings and adhering to safety standards
9. Using personal protective equipment and reporting hazards
10. Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience working outdoors with hand and power tools preferred
• Ability to handle large and small parts
• Ability to differentiate between colours, shapes, and sizes
• Basic math skills for counting and measurement
• Commitment to workplace safety and health standards
• Compliance with respiratory protection programs when required

Working Conditions:

• Indoor and outdoor work year-round
• Exposure to dust, dirt, grime, and vehicle traffic
• Moderate noise levels
• Overtime availability during weekdays and weekends
• Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators in warehouses
• Ability to lift up to 10 kg regularly and 20 kg occasionally
• Standing and walking for up to 8.75 hours daily
• Reaching at and above shoulder level as needed
