ABOUT THE ROLE

SAB GCA RMX requires individuals to assist in the daily operations of ready-mix concrete production plants. Responsibilities include housekeeping, plant improvement projects, assisting plant operators, inventory management, and supporting plant maintenance and repairs. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to policies and procedures is essential. This is a unionized position requiring reliability, versatility, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Safely perform duties using provided training, knowledge, and resources.
• Maintain cleanliness of production plant(s), yard, and surrounding areas.
• Assist with plant service, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Support concrete form and finish work, block production, and inventory control.
• Operate small equipment used in daily operations.
• Participate in projects and complete tasks professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate with plant staff to add and manage value-added products.
• Follow safety procedures, policies, and regulations.
• Promote a safety culture and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required). Additional education is preferred.
• Experience: Construction experience is required.
• Certifications: Safety training certificates are assets. A valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract is required.
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of equipment operation and plant systems.
• Travel: Willingness to travel as needed.
• Additional Requirements: Willingness to undergo training, flexibility for outside hours, physical fitness, strong communication skills, safety focus, teamwork, and equipment maintenance.
