Job summary

Staffworks is hiring for a Yard Coordinator for our client in Brampton! The successful candidate acts as a coordinator and first line contact between the distribution centers and shunting team.

The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yards. Responsibilities include receiving and processing trailer movement requests from the DC, coordinating movement with the shunt team, updating the yard management system, preparing shipping

Responsibilities

• To receive and process trailer movement requests from the DC
• To coordinate and direct trailer movement with the shunt team
• To update and monitor all trailer movement within the facility using Yard management system
• To prepare shipping schedule and pre-designate required equipment daily
• To provide the DC with required trailers at required times based on schedules
• To troubleshoot issues related to trailer status or movement
• Record and maintain shunt drivers' time sheets/records
• Act as a member of the emergency response team within the yards
