Job summary

Dick's Lumber in Edmonton is seeking an organized, detail oriented Dispatcher to join our Shipping department. The role focuses on coordinating inbound/outbound trucks, updating inventory, and ensuring accurate shipping docs.

You will supervise yard staff, greet customers, and uphold safety policies in a fast-paced environment; minimum one year experience and strong computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a shipping/dispatcher role.
• Strong knowledge of computerized inventory systems.
• Fluent in English with excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding Shipping department.

Responsibilities

• Performs shipping duties for inbound and outbound trucks and manages deliveries and stock transfers.
• Dispatches running staff to customer service calls in the yard, warehouse and finishing area.
• Unloads and prepares receiving/admin duties and accurate documentation.
• Matches picking slips to sales orders and finalizes shipping documentation.
