Job summary

Rentco Equipment Ltd. is hiring a full-time Yard Hand/General Labourer at our Grande Prairie Head Office. You will prepare and test rental equipment, load/unload gear, and maintain a clean, safe yard while assisting customers as needed.

Ideal candidates have strong time management, good communication, a team attitude, and the ability to work independently. Forklift operation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Able to read basic measurements and perform simple calculations.
• Experience operating material handling equipment including forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rental equipment for customers accurately and efficiently.
• Test equipment and demonstrate operation to customers as needed.
• Load and unload equipment safely and securely.
• Perform routine safety checks on rental gear via tagging system.
• Inspect returned equipment for damages and fuel and report.
• Keep yard and shop neat, organized, and safe.
• Prepare records of incoming/outgoing/damaged equipment.

We are currently hiring a full‑time Yard Hand/General Labourer to join our Grande Prairie Head Office team.

As the Yard Hand/Labourer, you are responsible for:

• Accurately and efficiently preparing rental equipment for customers
• Testing equipment and showing customers how to operate equipment as required
• Overseeing the secure and accurate loading and unloading of equipment
• Performing routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order using the rental tagging system
• Inspecting returned equipment for damages and fuel and reporting immediately to counter
• Ensuring that yard and shop is neat, organized, and safe by putting equipment in proper locations and ensuring that debris and snow is cleared
• Preparing records of incoming, outgoing, or damaged equipment as required per Rentco procedures
• Washing and fueling equipment
