Job summary

RONA is hiring for a lumberyard position that focuses on helping customers with building material needs. You will provide expert advice, assist with loading products, and verify invoices to ensure correct items are delivered.

You will keep the yard organized, unload trucks, label prices, and maintain a safe, clean work environment for customers and staff while supporting opening/closing duties as required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with daily upkeep of the department including unloading trucks, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.

Your role:
