Job summary

RONA in Canada is seeking a lumberyard team member to assist customers with building materials and load products safely. You’ll help maintain stock, verify orders, and keep the yard clean and organized while following safety procedures.

You will work with a team in a retail setting, lifting trays and handling deliveries as part of daily duties, with a focus on delivering a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for lumber and building materials.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard and stock area.
• Open and close yard operations as needed.

Your role:

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly
