Job Description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. Continuous improvement in quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Supervisor or designate, the X-ray Combined Technologist works in a computerized environment, producing diagnostic radiographs as assigned and carrying out diagnostic procedures independently or in collaboration with a radiologist or other physician. The role involves applying radiation safety principles and practices to protect patients, staff, and the public, along with completing required documentation and administrative tasks.

Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience

Graduation from a recognized combined Laboratory and X-ray Technology Program, with one (1) year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work

  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
