Job description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient safety is a priority and a shared responsibility at VIHA. The requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Supervisor or designate, the X-ray Combined Technologist works in a computerized environment, producing diagnostic radiographs as assigned and carrying out diagnostic procedures independently or with a radiologist or physician. The role involves applying radiation safety principles to protect patients, staff, and the public, and completing documentation and administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience: Graduation from a recognized combined Laboratory and X-ray Technology Program, with one (1) year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
