About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Workshop/UKAS Lab Manager responsible for managing the workshop operations and team of technicians, ensuring targets are met and customer satisfaction is achieved.

On a daily basis, you and your team will maintain, calibrate, repair, and prepare equipment for hire across our product range and complete customer calibrations.

Daily Tasks will include:

1. Managing UKAS accreditation processes, audits, and record keeping.
2. Attending bi-monthly UKAS meetings.
3. Managing workshop technicians daily.
4. Ensuring technicians understand the priority list and tasks are assigned accordingly.
5. Updating the training matrix in collaboration with the training department.
6. Ensuring all relevant staff are informed about company policies.
7. Prioritising repairs for equipment scheduled for hire or high demand.
8. Ordering spares and consumables.
9. Maintaining calibration standards and records.
10. Ensuring hires are dispatched on time, fully compliant, and in good condition.
11. Distributing hire orders to relevant departments.
12. Handling customer inquiries where possible.
13. Providing technical support as needed.
14. Maintaining a clean, compliant, and organized workshop environment.
