Role description:

Arcadis is looking to hire a Workplace Operations Specialist. The role is accountable for the delivery of the Workplace promise through the delivery of Workplace operational services to a designated group of offices with focus ontheleadershipandmanagementoftheArcadis Teamandcontractorsto deliver the expected effective and efficient delivery of the highest standards of servicealongsideadministrativeactivitiesandresponsibilitiesforhealthandsafety and environmental compliance tasks.

TherolewillinterfacewithArcadisenablingfunctionsandwithotherArcadis regions,functions,peopleandcontractorstosupportthisroles’deliveryofan effective and efficient service provision.

Location: Role is based in Vancouver, BC only.

Role accountabilities:

WorkplaceOperationsSpecialistisaccountableforthedeliveryofabest-in-class user experience to all users of workplaces you are responsible for, through the management of an internal team and/or through the contract management and servicedeliveryofoutsourcedWorkplacesuppliers.EnsuringstandardsandKey Performance Indicators are met for all offices within your region. You will be reporting to and working with the Canada-Workplace Operations Manager to develop the office budget for your region and approve location specific service costswithinyourapprovallimits,reportandrespondtovariancequestionsrelating toyourregion.YouwillberesponsibleforinterfacewithotherArcadisfunctions including safety, health, environment & Quality (SHEQ) to ensure agreed WorkplaceHealthandSafetyandSustainabilityresponsibilitiesaremetforyour region.YouwillworkwithCanadaWorkplaceOperationsManagertosupportthe review of Workplace standards, coordinating Workplace communication and executing workplace projects within the property/s when required.

Principal Accountabilities&Responsibilities

  • Provideleadership,guidanceanddevelopmenttotheworkplacecoordinators within your region
  • Responsibleforcompliancewithrelevantlegislation,codesofpractice,Arcadis’ workplace standards and for operational workplace services and HSE responsibilities.
  • Ownsworkplacerelatedissue(s)withinyourregionanddeliverthesolution whilstaccountableforescalatingtoCanadaOpsManagerandresolutionof portfolio related Workplace issues
  • As subject matter specialist, Workplace operational matters related to the property/sareaddressedandescalatedasnecessarytotheCanadaWorkplace Ops Manager.
  • Effectivelymanagethesupplychaintodeliverconsistentstandardsofservice, financialandoperationalcomplianceandapartnershipapproachwhichallows innovation and continual improvement within their region.
  • Accountableforthecomplianceandservicedeliveryofanycontractorsorsub- contractors (including obtaining WHIMIS, MSDS & COI)
  • InterfacewithIT,Finance,PeopleServices,Marcommasrequiredwithinregion and alignment within workplace ops.
  • Participate as a key member of the wider Workplace team, supporting development,innovation,andimprovement.Draftregionalorsiteofficelevel communicationrelatingtooperationalorsocialimpactandsendforreviewto the Canada Workplace Ops Manager
  • Lead by example to the reporting team by creating a collaborative and supportingworkenvironmentwhereeachteammembertobeaccountablefor raising the service delivery standard.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • DemonstrableexperienceofFM/Workplaceorsimilar,customerfacing environment.
  • SoundknowledgeofITsystemsusedinthedeliveryofWorkplaceservices.
  • SoundknowledgeofFM/Workplacemattersandpracticesgainedbysufficient experience working in a similar environment.
  • Aminimumoffiveyears’experienceleadingFM/Workplaceservice
  • FamiliaritywithvariousITperipheralsandequipmentforworkplace
  • FamiliaritywithAVsoftware/equipmenttypicallyusedtomanageandhost meetings.

The salary range for this position is CA$65,000 - $75,000. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.
