Job summary

CEDA International in Sarnia, ON is hiring a full-time Working Foreman, Pressure & Vacuum to lead field crews, coordinate materials and equipment, and ensure safe, efficient project execution. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and productive supervision on industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in pressure and vacuum services, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to manage daily operations while adhering to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in pressure, vacuum, and/or industrial services within oil & gas or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience and working knowledge of industrial cleaning and high-pressure equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the safe operation of high-pressure systems and equipment.
  • Ability to understand, communicate, and follow company policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean record; Class 1 or 3 is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor crew members to ensure safe work practices, quality workmanship, and productivity.
  • Provide daily direction and oversight, ensuring workers have training and information to perform safely.
  • Allocate manpower and coordinate materials, tools, and equipment to meet job and project requirements.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are inspected and maintained in good condition.
  • Monitor job progress, productivity, schedule, and crew performance; report updates to Supervisor.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and conduct performance management as required.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and applicable regulations.

Job Description

CEDA is hiring for a full-time Working Foreman, Pressure & Vacuum position in Sarnia, ON. The Working Foreman is responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, productively while meeting quality standards. This position provides day-to-day direction to crews, coordinates manpower, materials, and equipment, and serves as an important link between field operations, supervision, and the client.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor crew members to ensure safe work practices, quality workmanship, and productivity
  • Provide daily direction and oversight, ensuring workers have the training, experience, and technical information required to perform their work safely
  • Allocate manpower and coordinate materials, tools, and equipment to meet job and project requirements
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are inspected, maintained, and in good working condition
  • Monitor job progress, productivity, schedule, and crew performance; communicate updates and variances to the Supervisor
  • Provide workers with ongoing feedback and conduct performance management as required
  • Ensure compliance with all company HSE policies, OH&S requirements, and applicable local, provincial/state, and federal regulations
  • Address safety, quality, and operational concerns promptly and maintain a strong safety culture
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

Role Specifications

  • 3+ years of experience in pressure, vacuum, and/or industrial services within the oil & gas industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience and working knowledge of industrial cleaning and high-pressure equipment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the safe operation of high-pressure systems and equipment
  • Ability to understand, communicate, and consistently follow company policies, procedures, and safe work practices
  • In-depth knowledge of field operations and the ability to safely and effectively execute site-specific job tasks
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of applicable regulatory and safety requirements
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a current driver's abstract; no more than 5 demerits within the past 3 years. Class 1 or 3 driver's license is considered an asset
