Job summary

Manitoba Government, Winnipeg, is seeking a qualified Worker Advisor to assist workers and dependants with WCB claims and appeals. The role is appointed under The Workers’ Compensation Act and operates independently of the WCB.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in social sciences or related field; equivalent combinations may be considered.
  • Experience interpreting and applying legislation or policies is desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide workers and dependants with assistance, advice and representation on WCB claims and appeals.
  • Assess services, policies and legislation by participating in committees to improve the Worker Advisor Office.
