Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking a Workday Integration Developer to design, build, test, deploy, and support integrations across its Workday ecosystem. You will enable secure data movement between Workday and payroll, benefits, time, and other enterprise systems, delivering scalable and compliant HR platform solutions.

You will partner with HR, Payroll, Security, and vendor teams, leveraging EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and RaaS for inbound/outbound integrations and production

Qualifications

Job description

**What you’ll do** Reporting to the Chapter Manager, Workday & HR Platforms, the Workday Integration Developer designs, builds, tests, deploys, and supports integrations across Canadian Tire Corporation’s Workday ecosystem. This role enables secure and reliable HR data movement between Workday and connected enterprise systems, including payroll, benefits, time and absence, workforce management, identity management, reporting, external vendors, and downstream applications. As part of the Workday & HR Platforms team, this role contributes to integration solution design, technical configuration, development, testing, production deployment, and ongoing support. The Workday Integration Developer partners with HR, Technology, Payroll, Benefits, Workforce Management, Security, Reporting, Solutions Architecture, and vendor teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and supportable HR platform solutions. * Design, build, configure, test, deploy, and support inbound and outbound Workday integrations that enable critical HR, payroll, benefits, time and absence, workforce, security, reporting, and vendor data flows across Canadian Tire Corporation.* Develop and enhance integrations using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Workday Studio, Report-as-a-Service (RaaS), custom reports, calculated fields, Document Transformation, and Workday Web Services.* Translate business and functional requirements into technical integration designs, data mappings, transformation logic, test plans, deployment plans, and support documentation.* Provide production support for scheduled and event-driven integrations, including monitoring, alert review, incident triage, error analysis, file delivery validation, and stakeholder communication.* Troubleshoot integration failures, data discrepancies, authentication issues, file transmission errors, and vendor-reported defects; perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.* Implement secure data exchange patterns, including integration system users, domain security, security groups, PGP encryption, SFTP, web services, certificates, and least-privilege access principles.* Partner with HR functional teams, HR Employee Services, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Absence, Workforce Management, Talent, Reporting, Information Security, Enterprise Technology, Solutions Architecture, and vendors to deliver supportable integration solutions.* Create and maintain integration design documents, mapping specifications, runbooks, support procedures, test evidence, issue logs, release notes, and knowledge base content.* Support Workday release readiness by assessing release notes, coordinating regression testing, validating impacted integrations, documenting outcomes, and resolving release-related defects.* Participate in change, incident, problem, audit, privacy, and production deployment activities in alignment with CTC governance and operational standards. **What you bring:*** 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience developing, enhancing, testing, deploying, and supporting Workday integrations in a production HR technology environment.* Practical experience with Workday integration capabilities such as EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, RaaS, custom reports, calculated fields, Document Transformation, and Workday Web Services.* Strong understanding of integration concepts and technologies, including XML, XSLT, XPath, SOAP, REST, JSON, SFTP, PGP encryption, authentication, certificates, scheduling, logging, transformation logic, and error handling.* Experience translating business requirements into technical integration specifications, data mappings, transformation rules, test cases, deployment steps, and operational support guidance.* Experience with Workday HCM functional areas such as Core HCM, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning, Workday Scheduling, payroll processes, or Workforce Management.* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot production issues by reviewing integration events, analyzing logs, validating source and target data, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable fixes.* Understanding of Workday security concepts, including integration system users, security groups, domain security policies, business process security, and role-based access controls.* Experience working within formal IT practices, including incident, change, release, testing, audit support, and operational documentation.* Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into support procedures, stakeholder updates, test plans, and knowledge base materials.* Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills, with a commitment to data quality, privacy, compliance, operational stability, and secure handling of sensitive employee information.* Experience in a large Canadian enterprise, retail, distribution centre, hourly workforce, or multi-banner environment is considered an asset.* Knowledge of Dayforce is preferred and considered an asset but is not mandatory.* Workday Pro Orchestration Developer, Workday Pro Studio, or other relevant technical certification is considered an asset.
