Job summary

The Gilder is a busy custom framing company in Canada, seeking an experienced woodworker and driver for a full-time or part-time role. The candidate will work with solid wood, operate a table saw, shaper, joiner/thicknesser and router, and contribute to finishing processes including spraying waterborne finishes.

Preference given to those with 3 years of finishing experience and a passion for art framing. This is a hands-on position located in Toronto, Ontario.

Qualifications

• Experience working with solid wood.
• Proficient with table saw, shaper, joiner/thicknesser, router and other basic tools.
• 3 years of finishing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and joining frames, milling custom mouldings, selecting appropriate grade of lumber, sanding.
• Sanding and applying stains.

We are looking for a talented individual interested in art and in framing.

Experience in working with solid wood. Proficient with table saw, shaper, joiner/thicknesser, router and other basic tools.
Tasks include cutting and joining frames, milling custom mouldings, selecting appropriate grade of lumber, sanding.
Experience spraying waterborne finishes such as pigmented lacquer and clear coat.
-Sanding and applying stains.

3 years of finishing experience is preferred
