Job summary

AspenGrove Developments is seeking an experienced Residential House Framer to join our Winnipeg-area construction team. You will apply hands-on residential wood framing skills on custom home projects, reading blueprints and building to code.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of residential framing experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and measurements accurately.
  • Experience using framing tools and equipment.
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
  • Fall protection and safety certifications considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Construct and assemble wood framing for residential homes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout measurements.
  • Build walls, floors, roofs, stairs, and structural components.
  • Install beams, joists, trusses, sheathing, and subfloors.
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, and framing equipment safely.
  • Ensure framing work is level, square, and built to code.
  • Work closely with site supervisors and other trades on-site.
  • Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.
  • Assist with material handling and site preparation as needed.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Residential House Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with residential wood framing and be comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment on custom home projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct and assemble wood framing for residential homes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout measurements
