Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor weather patterns to determine need to operate the EWR.
• Notify service providers and determine operable capacity for EWR activations.
• Send notifications to stakeholders when EWR is operating and when to deactivate.
• Maintain collaborative relationships with community service providers and stakeholders.
• Develop working relationships with EWR service providers and organizations.
• Coordinate weather pattern monitoring with Environment Canada and others to trigger operations.
• Coordinate activation/deactivation communications to stakeholders.
• Arrange bi-monthly community meetings to discuss processes and activations.
• Provide media information and refer media to appropriate contacts.
