Job summary

Mainroad Group in British Columbia is seeking Snow Plow Truck Drivers for a seasonal role based out of Fairmont from October until approximately March 2027.

You will operate sanding, plowing, and salting trucks during snow events, work on call 24/7 including graveyard shifts, and support highway maintenance in challenging weather conditions. Mainroad is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Class 1 or 3 license with Air Brake Endorsement and clean abstract.
• Ability to operate tandem truck and trailer and loader.
• Willing to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Experience in construction and highway maintenance is an asset.
• Mechanical skills and ability to learn quickly.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
• Safety oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operating and driving trucks to haul material.

• Clearing litter, debris, and roadkill.

Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting LP is currently looking for Snow Plow Truck Drivers. This seasonal position will be based out of Fairmont from October until approximately March 2027.

Operators must have the ability to work on call shifts 24/7, including graveyard shifts. They will be responsible for operating & driving sanding, plowing, and salting trucks during snow events.

The successful candidates shall have the following qualifications:

• Class 1 or 3 driver's license with Air Brake Endorsement and a clean driver's abstract
• Ability to drive a tandem truck and trailer and operate a loader
• Willing to work in extreme weather conditions
• Previous experience in construction and/or highway maintenance is an asset
• Mechanical skills and ability to learn quickly
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills
• Safety inclined

Job duties include the following:

• Operating and driving trucks to haul material
