Job summary

Marmot Basin is seeking a Parking Attendant to manage vehicle parking, control traffic flow, and maintain safety and cleanliness around the lower chalet and parking lots. You will participate in daily town runs and assist in snow removal and waste disposal, all while adhering to company policies and Alberta safety regulations.

Ideal candidates are 18+, enjoy outdoor winter work, and have a positive, customer-focused attitude. A valid Alberta Class 5 license is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work outdoors in winter.
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
  • Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
  • Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to interact with the public and other staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure vehicles in all areas are parked as efficiently as possible.
  • Maintain a smooth and orderly flow of traffic to and from the ski area.
  • Keep parking and roadway signs current and properly located.
  • Assist with snow removal for upper and lower chalet areas.
  • Handle daily garbage collection and disposal.
  • Keep Lower Chalet plaza area clean, remove snow and garbage, sweep and sand/salt.
  • Record daily vehicle count and manage the daily town run.
  • Report damage or problems with company vehicles to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Follow safety procedures and cooperate with staff across departments.
  • Assist in emergency situations and perform other duties as assigned.
