Job summary

Mt Seymour is seeking a Traffic and Grounds Attendant to guide guests to parking zones, maintain safe walkways, and help ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the mountain hospitality team. Responsibilities include snow and ice removal, tire checks, and supporting backcountry access with a friendly, high-energy service approach during the winter season.

This seasonal role involves 8-hour shifts, outdoor work in winter conditions, and carrying up to 50 lbs while delivering a consistently

  • A positive and friendly attitude in all weather conditions.
  • Previous guest-facing experience.
  • Able to be assertive while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
  • Able to work evening shifts.
  • Able to follow directions and work unsupervised.
  • Able to work well under pressure in a high-volume environment with the ability to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment.
  • Flexibility in your schedule during high-volume periods of the winter season.

Responsibilities

  • Direct guests to their parking zones using safe, clear directions.
  • Maintain walkways and entrance ways free of snow and ice.
  • Conduct periodic tire checks and monitor the day-use pass for backcountry users.
  • Provide a high standard of service to Mt Seymour guests and staff.

Job description

Title: Traffic & Grounds Attendant
Department: Mountain Operations
Reports to: Roads and Slopes Manager and Assistant Manager

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Traffic and Grounds Supervisor, Roads and Slopes Manager and Assistant Manager, the Traffic and Grounds Attendant is responsible for using safe and effective methods in directing guests to their appropriate parking zones, maintaining walkways and entrance ways are free of snow and ice, conducting periodic tire checks and help to monitor day use pass for backcountry users. The T & G Attendant will ensure a high standard of service is provided to Mt Seymour guests and staff alike. This position is key to the success and day-to-day smooth running of the resort.

  • You enjoy working outdoors in winter conditions.
  • You can work in a fast-pacedand high-volume environment.
  • You can carry up to 50lbs approx. of equipment.
  • You can shovel snow for long periods.
  • You can sustain physical activity for the entirety of your 8hr shift.
  • You want to share the stoke with our guests and keep the energy high.
WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU:

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
  • Seasonal position, November throughto April.
  • $19 -$22 per hour, depending on experience/certifications.
  • Complimentary season pass and shuttle bus pass.
