Job summary

Marmot Basin is seeking a ski patroller trainee to learn and meet Grade 1 performance requirements. The position is full-time and seasonal within Safety Operations; you will work outdoors in all weather, participate in on-hill rescue, first aid, and hill safety tasks, and advance through certifications.

You will rotate on a two-week cycle, comply with provincial probation guidelines, and contribute to hazard identification, trail maintenance, and incident response alongside experienced

Qualifications

• First Aid (80+ hours) and CPR certifications required or in progress.
• Avalanche training Level 1 or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Driver's license with clean record; background check may be required.
• Strong skiing ability and physical fitness to perform on-hill tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-hill rescue and first aid as part of the Safety Operations team.
• Demonstrate duties of a ski patroller and participate in lift evacuations.
• Identify and mitigate hazards, assist with trail maintenance as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and safety manuals and maintain teamwork.
