Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada is seeking a Winter Maintenance Operator to operate highway maintenance vehicles and perform related labour in Dow Settlement, NB. The role includes pre-trip checks, snow and ice control, and daily reporting to ensure roads are safe and passable.

The position requires rotating shifts during Winter Operations, overtime and on-call duties. A valid Class 1 or Class 3 licence and 2 years of related experience are preferred, with a focus on safe, efficient highway maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred.
• Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway maintenance vehicles and equipment (snow plow, dump trucks, loaders, skid steer, tractors).
• Perform snow and ice control including plowing, sanding and salting.
• Complete pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance.
• Work rotating shifts during Winter Operations.
• Complete daily work records and assist with site cleanup and reporting.
