Job summary

Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. invites motivated STEM students to join a cooperative education/work program aligned with the River Class Destroyer project.

You will work in the Systems Engineering field, supporting the Lead Systems Engineering Cross Product Team with coordination and process management. The role covers requirements development and change management, risk assessment, OE identification, and planning team tasks in JIRA and Confluence, with MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in a STEM program.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).
• Able to work well in teams and independently.
• Eligible for NATO Secret clearance in a timely manner.
• Available for eight months starting January 2027.

Responsibilities

• Participate in engineering activities including requirements development and change management.
• Engage in risk assessment and OE identification.
• Plan and manage team tasks in JIRA and maintain information in Confluence.

• Requirement design Objective Evidence (OE) identification
• Planning and managing team tasks in JIRA
• Managing team information in Confluence.

Basic Qualifications

• Current student in an Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program
• Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio
• Aptitude for working well in teams as well as the ability to work independently
• Eligible for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret clearance in a timely manner
• Available for eight (8) months, starting January 2027

Desired Skills

• Working knowledge of IBM DOORS is an asset
• Working knowledge of agile processes is an asset
• Active security clearance will be considered an asset
