Job summary

Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, seeks a cooperative education student to join a software development environment focused on naval programs.

Work will include programming in C++ and Java, unit testing, and documentation within an Agile team. The position targets students in computer science/engineering disciplines and requires the ability to obtain NATO Secret clearance in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Current student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or substantially similar field.
• Aptitude for programming and debugging with the latest tools in an Object-Oriented environment.
• Knowledge of programming in Java.
• Eligible for NATO Secret clearance in a timely manner.

The candidate will participate in a structured cooperative educational/work program between Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) and a college/university where they are enrolled in an accredited degree program directly related to skills required by the company. Candidate will perform assigned tasks in technical/engineering disciplines e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering. Specifically, the candidate will perform software development work for naval programs.

• Various other tasks as required.

Basic Qualifications

• Current student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or substantially similar field

• Eligible for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret clearance in a timely manner.
