Job summary

Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. is seeking a cooperative engineering intern to join the River Class Destroyer program support. You will help develop 3D models, run CFD analyses, and assist with design reviews under a structured co-op arrangement.

You must be a current engineering student (Electrical preferred), proficient with SolidWorks and MS Office, and capable of working in a collaborative team while pursuing NATO clearance eligibility for a four-month term starting January 2027.

• SolidWorks and MS Office proficiency.
• NATO clearance eligibility and four-month availability starting Jan 2027.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a cooperative educational/work program between the company and a college/university student.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams to create 3D models for River Class Destroyer program.
• Perform Quick Look analysis including CFD, LOS, and cable length restrictions.
• Conduct meeting minutes for design reviews.
• Understand configuration/change management in product development.

Job Responsibilities

As a member of our team, the successful candidate will:

• Participate in a structured cooperative educational/work program between the company and a college/university student enrolled in an accredited degree program directly related to skills required by the company


• Work with a multi-disciplinary teams to create Three Dimensional (3D) models for compartment and topside arrangements for the River Class Destroyer (RCD) Program


• Perform Quick Look analysis to prove concepts; including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Line of Sight, Cable Length Restrictions


• Conduct meeting minutes for design reviews


• Understanding of configuration/change management principles and their application in the product development life cycle.

Basic Qualifications

• Current student in an Engineering field, preferably Electrical Engineering


• Working knowledge of SolidWorks and Microsoft (MS) Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio


• Aptitude for working well in teams as well as the ability to work independently


• Eligible for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret clearance in a timely manner


• Available for four (4) months, starting January 2027

Desired Skills

• Working knowledge of Creo, Windchill and/or AutoCAD will be considered an asset


• Active security clearance will be considered an asset
