Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. invites a co‑op student in Industrial Engineering or Business to join Risk Management.

This role provides an opportunity to understand risk and program management within the CSC program and to gain hands‑on experience with the ROADS tool. You will learn the company’s Risk Policy, collaborate with risk owners to explore and select mitigations, document outcomes, and participate in stakeholder meetings.

Responsibilities

• Learn the Lockheed Martin Risk Policy and its application.
• Assist with Risk Management processes for CSC program and ROADS tool usage.
• Support integration of risk plans into the IMS and communicate outcomes.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and document risk actions.
• Collaborate with risk owners to identify mitigating actions.

The Risk Manager will provide the co‑op student with an opportunity to understand Risk Management and aspects of Program Management.

Risk Management is the process of advising organizations of the potential and perceived risks involved in their activities, supervising organization activities, and taking corrective actions and proactive steps to minimize accidental injury and/or loss. The Risk Manager will provide the co‑op student with an opportunity to understand Risk Management and aspects of Program Management. The Risk Coordinator will be responsible to the Risk Manager to:

• Learn the Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) Risk Policy
• Understand the Risk Management Process and its application in the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) Program
• Learn to use the Risk and Opportunity Assessment Database for Success (ROADS) tool
• Working with risk owners, conduct a comprehensive exploration and examination of options for mitigating actions
• Working with risk owners, select the most appropriate mitigating actions for each risk
• Consult with planners to incorporate risk plan into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Communicate risk management plan to others as required
• Document and evaluate outcomes of risk management plans
• Internalize the value of risk management
• Articulate the value of risk management
• Participate in stakeholder meetings.

Basic Qualifications

• Current student in an Industrial Engineering or Business field
• A keen interest in Risk Management or Project Management
• Aptitude for working well in teams
• Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Eligible for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret clearance in a timely manner
• Available for four (4) months starting January 2027.

Desired Skills

• Active security clearance will be considered an asset
• Previous experience working in the marine industry an asset.
