Nordex North America is seeking a Service Technician I to support safe, efficient operation of wind turbine generators and related equipment, with emphasis on preventive maintenance and timely repairs. You will collaborate with on-site teams to ensure high availability of wind farms and deliver quality service to customers.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, some wind industry exposure, and the ability to read technical schematics and perform hands-on maintenance using

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Wind, electrical, mechanical, or technical education/certification is an asset.
• 0 to 1 year wind industry experience preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including electrical/hydraulic schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Comfortable working at heights and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and confined spaces.
• Ability to travel for training and site support as needed.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on wind turbines and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to support turbine performance.
• Follow safety procedures, including LOTO, hazard assessments, and PPE usage.
• Complete maintenance reports and work orders accurately.
• Support 24/7 wind farm operations, including on-call and rotating shifts.
• Assist with inspections, root cause analysis, and system upgrades.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and required certifications.
• Collaborate with site teams to ensure safe, efficient operations.
