Job summary

Nordex SE is seeking a Site Manager for wind farm projects in Canada. You will plan, oversee, and lead on-site activities from ideation to completion while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.

This role requires managing schedules, costs, safety, and quality across on-site construction and commissioning. The ideal candidate has an associate degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, 5+ years supervisory experience, and proficiency in English and French; PMP certification is

Qualifications

• Associate degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline is required or equivalent experience.
• PMP Certification or ability to obtain within the first year is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience with mechanical/construction; wind farm mechanical construction experience preferred.
• Fluency in English and French is required; Spanish/German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coordinates all activities during delivery, erection, and commissioning phases of WTG from start to Final Certification by Owner.
• Coordinate mobilization of heavy equipment on-site with contractor.
• Organize and track quality control, transportation, and engineering documents.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for upper management.
• Monitor construction schedule and ensure on-time delivery of parts.
• Interact with clients during wind farm construction.
• Attend daily POD meetings with contractors.
• Monitor subcontractors’ hours, rotation, and vacations; approve PO’s for materials/services.
• Monitor additional site costs and ensure compliance with Nordex processes.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to resolve on-site issues.
• Control site budget and variations; manage contractors and multiple activities.
