Job summary

Nordex Group seeks a Lead Commissioner to manage on-site commissioning operations, assets, and personnel across wind farm projects in Canada and North America. You will plan, coordinate, and oversee daily commissioning activities while ensuring WTGs meet safety and performance standards for project completion.

You will guide technical and operational teams, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system issues, and drive quality assurance and post‑sales support as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Technology, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent wind industry training and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily commissioning activities for Nordex Commissioning Technicians and subcontractors.
• Monitor project progress and ensure commissioning schedules and milestones are achieved.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system issues.
• Audit commissioning activities and turbine readiness to ensure a high-quality product.
• Ensure spare parts inventories are maintained and inventory accuracy.
• Track and maintain inventories of tools, PPE, vehicles, and other project assets.
• Prepare commissioning reports and progress trackers for stakeholders and customers.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements.
• Verify trainings and certifications of technicians.
