The Wholesale Sales Representative is responsible for developing and managing wholesale accounts across an assigned territory. This role focuses on proactively generating new business through cold calling and in-person client visits, preparing accurate quotes, and maintaining strong follow-up to convert opportunities into confirmed orders. The ideal candidate is polished, self-motivated, and thrives in a client-facing environment where relationship-building and persistence drive results.
Key Responsibilities
1.New Business Development
- Proactively identify and pursue new wholesale accounts through cold calling, prospecting, and market research.
- Conduct in-person visits to prospective and existing clients to present products, build rapport, and uncover opportunities.
- Maintain a consistent outreach cadence to grow the active client base within the assigned territory.
2.Quoting & Proposal Preparation
- Prepare accurate, professional quotes and proposals tailored to each client's product requirements and volume needs.
- Liaise with internal teams to confirm pricing, availability, and lead times prior to submission.
- Present quotes clearly to clients, explaining product scope, pricing structure, and delivery timelines.
- Maintain disciplined follow-up on all outstanding quotes to advance opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Track client interactions and pipeline status using the company CRM, keeping records up to date after every touchpoint.
- Re-engage lapsed or dormant accounts to revive business opportunities.
4.Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned wholesale accounts throughout the sales cycle.
- Respond promptly to client inquiries, pricing questions, and order-related concerns.
- Conduct regular check-ins with active accounts to ensure satisfaction and identify upsell or repeat-order opportunities.
- Provide regular sales activity and pipeline updates to the Sales Manager.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and timely delivery.
- Share market feedback and competitive insights gathered through client interactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a wholesale, B2B, or outside sales role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets through proactive prospecting and relationship management.
- Experience with cold calling, in-person client visits, and managing a multi-account territory.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and quoting tools; strong comfort with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory for client visits.
- Professional, polished presentation - this role requires consistent in-person client interaction.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - comfortable initiating conversations and building trust quickly.
