Job summary

Pete's Frootique & Fine Foods in Nova Scotia is seeking an Order Picker to accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for delivery across Halifax and beyond.

The role requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food safety standards. Previous produce experience is a plus, and flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service mindset and positive attitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate with team.
• Produce experience is a plus but not required.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders in a timely manner.
• Inspect products to ensure freshness and quality.
• Communicate with customers by phone to confirm orders and provide service.
• Maintain organized, accurate order fulfillment processes.
• Assist with inventory organization and stock rotation as needed.
• Follow food safety and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support other store operations as required.

What You'll Do

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders in a timely manner.
• Inspect products to ensure they meet Pete's high standards for freshness and quality.
• Communicate with customers by phone to confirm orders, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and efficient order fulfillment processes.
• Assist with inventory organization and stock rotation as needed.
• Follow all food safety and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support other store operations and perform additional duties as required.
