Job summary

Fresh Prep in Vancouver is hiring a warehouse picker to join our fast-paced team. You will operate in a 4–6°C area, select customer orders, and assemble shipments by drivers’ routes, while consistently meeting KPI targets and maintaining FIFO.

We look for reliability, responsibility and a growth mindset. Earn $22.70/hr with extended benefits after 90 days and food perks; prior warehouse or food manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing, warehouse, or fast-paced environments preferred.
• Previous leadership experience is preferred.
• Able to work in a high-paced warehouse with deadlines.
• Able to stand for 8 hours.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs (13 kg).

Responsibilities

• Work shifts in a temperature-controlled area (4–6°C).
• Pick customer orders and assemble shipments by routes.
• Meet budget and KPI targets.

• Ensure Order Picking Schedule targets met.

• Flag delays daily.

What You’ll Be Doing

• You will be working your shift in an area where the temperature is maintained between 4-6 degrees Celsius (Yes, that is 4 degrees above freezing)

• The main activity in this department is the picking of our customers' customized food orders and combining them together in a shipping container, sorted by our delivery drivers' routes

• Meeting budget and KPI targets

• Maintaining First In First Out (FIFO)

• Ensuring Order Picking Schedule targets are being met or exceeded consistently, week after week

• All KPI’s are being consistently met, week after week

• Flagging delays (as per the Order Picking Schedule targets each day)

• Coaching and training team members to be aligned with Order Picking Schedule and Accuracy targets

• Conducting record keeping, error checks and follow ups

• Ensuring overall organization of the department consistently throughout the day

• Ensuring policies and procedures are being adhered to consistently throughout the day

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in food manufacturing, warehouse, or high‑paced environment preferred

• Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred

• Able to work in a high‑paced warehouse environment with strict deadlines

• Comfortable working in a temperature controlled environment. The warehouse is kept at between 0 to 10 degrees Celsius

• Able to stand on your feet for 8 hour shifts

• Ability to lift objects up to 30 lbs. (13 kg)

What You Can Expect

• Schedule: Thursday to Mondays from 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (Position 1)

• Schedule: Saturday to Wednesday from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (Position 2)

• Salary: $22.70/hr
