Job summary

ADM is seeking a Technology Specialist – Wheat Milling in Port Colborne, Ontario. The role focuses on applying engineering principles to design, troubleshoot, and optimize milling processes while implementing best practices and new technologies.

You will manage safety, quality, environmental compliance, and capital projects, reporting to the Plant Manager and collaborating with the Milling Technology COE and other SMEs to advance technology and process performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or related field with plant process systems knowledge.
• Experience in process design, optimization, and troubleshooting in a milling facility.
• Ability to read P&IDs and control narratives and apply safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives and promote a safety culture across the site.
• Benchmark technology to drive improvements and optimize processes.
• Prioritize Wave portfolio with Plant Manager and Milling Technology COE.
• Develop a 5-year project portfolio including capital budgeting and execution.
• Collaborate with COEs to align technology strategies.
• Champion new process technologies and equipment design improvements.
• Standardize operations with Global Technology Center and adopt new tech.
• Assist plant operations in solving technical problems.
• Set up goals and monitor progress with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts on innovative plant operation approaches.
• Ensure adherence to products, environment, safety, and quality guidelines.
• Demonstrate ADM Core Values in decision-making.
• Contribute to department deployment plans and strategic vision.
• Support Quality and Food Safety management systems.
• Communicate effectively with teams at all levels.
