Job summary

ADM Milling & Baking Solutions seeks a Regional Sales Manager for Quebec and the Maritimes, based in Montréal or Mississauga. You will grow our product portfolio across Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada by tailoring value propositions for target segments and expanding new and existing customer relationships.

You will collaborate with Sales, Commercial, Trading, Ops, and Marketing, leverage Salesforce for activity tracking, and represent ADM at industry events to drive growth and strengthen

Qualifications

Regional Sales Manager, Quebec and the Maritimes

Regular Full-Time, Salaried Exempt

Mississauga (Ontario) or Montréal (Québec)

About The Position

The successful candidate will manage and grow ADM Milling & Baking Solutions’ product portfolio through prospecting and growing new and existing customers in Ontario, Canada.

ADM Milling & Baking Solutions’ product portfolio includes standard wheat flours, whole wheat and whole grain flours, specialty flours (corn, barley, durum semolina, rye, farina, bulgur, tapioca, wheat bran, wheat germ and sorghum), specialty products (wheat proteins and wheat starches) and Bakery Mixes, Base and Concentrate.

In addition, this position will promote ADM’s growing ingredient capabilities to customers and represent ADM at industry meetings and tradeshows.

Additional responsibilities include cross-functional and cross-divisional collaboration with Sales Managers, Commercial Managers, Trading/Risk Management, Plant Operations, Transportation, Customer Service, Quality, Credit and Technical Service groups to meet business goals.

This position reports directly to the Canadian Sales Director, Milling & Baking Solutions, who reports to the President of Milling & Baking Solutions.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Work closely with various teams across the organization and maintain direct contact with customers to develop and implement value propositions tailored to target market segments and customers.
  • Drive sales growth with customers, both in person and virtually, by offering solutions that address their business needs and objectives.
  • Leverage sales data and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations to optimize the financial performance of the market segments and customer accounts served.
  • Ensure effective cost management, including a strong understanding of manufacturing costs, and contribute to the effective management of accounts receivable.
  • Manage all aspects of customer contracts, from negotiation through implementation and ongoing follow-up.
  • Serve as a customer expert and key point of contact for ADM’s Milling & Baking Solutions, developing a deep understanding of customer needs and business challenges.
  • Analyze marketing data and insights to identify new growth opportunities and develop effective commercial strategies.
  • Utilize and implement Salesforce.com to ensure effective management of sales activities, opportunities, and customer relationships.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships within ADM’s Milling & Baking Solutions team and across other ADM divisions to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the achievement of business objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may include additional responsibilities beyond the core scope of the role.

  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and organizational levels.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-motivated approach and a strong sense of initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven customer and service orientation, with the ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships and partnerships with customers, management, R&D, Procurement, Marketing, Supply Chain, and plant operations teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, while effectively communicating progress and results to cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of the baking industry, including standard and specialty flours, wheat proteins, starches, and commodity markets, is considered an asset.
