Job summary

True North Salmon, a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., is seeking eager self-starting individuals to join our Wharf Crew with the Harvest Team based in Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick.

Reporting to the Wharf Crew Supervisor, you will operate harvest vessel equipment, offload fish, and help with maintenance while following safety and quality standards. This is full-time year-round work with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Preferred candidates hold or will obtain confined space training.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends.
• Experience on a wharf crew is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Role

Reporting to the Wharf Crew Supervisor, the duties of this job require the use of harvest vessel equipment and an understanding of proper fish handling to successfully offload fish from the vessel to the plant or trucks without compromising quality. This position is a continental shift, work schedule may vary depending on the arrival of the Harvest Vessel.

Wharf crew is also responsible for minor maintenance and cleaning of harvest equipment as required.

A successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• Must hold, or be willing to obtain, confined space training upon hire
• A willingness to work flexible hours is a requirement of this position
• Preference will be given to applicants with wharf crew experience.
